Club moss (lat. Lycopodium) belongs to the family of the lycopod family, which also includes the genus Huperzia.
This moss is originally native to India and Southeast Asia, but can be found everywhere in Europe except in the south and it grows preferably in mountains and forests.
Ingredients of club moss
The valuable ingredients of lycopene are primarily essential oils and alkaloids, with special attention to the alkaloid huperzine A. Other ingredients include organic acids such as citric acid and malic acid as well as fatty oil, glycerin, palmitin and stearin.
